Nathan’s Tips:
When setting up a hunting bow, I recommend using a D-loop. Set your D-loop to where you have plenty of room for your nock and release to function without sacrificing too much draw length. I like using the Silverhorn in this situation for two reasons. It loads very quickly and it will maximize your draw length because of its forward trigger position.

For someone who is making the change from a trigger release to a Longhorn and has never used a back-tension release, I recommend setting the tension where you actually rotate your hand a considerable amount and not using a click. For most people, the reason for making a change is usually a result from fighting anticipation or target panic. It is my belief that if you use the click, it will remind you that the release is about to fire and target panic will set back in, resulting in a poorly executed shot and never properly addressing your problems of anticipation/target panic.
